Hi,
I am using oracle 10g release 2 (10.2.0.3.0), i am doing one way replication by doing local capture.

My question is if i keep Stream_pool_size=0, then will Stream_pool_size be automatically changing like other pools or Stream will be using Shared pool.

Do i need to explicitly define stream_pool_size for using stream_pool area or oracle will be using iit like other pools if automatic memory management is on.

What did you see in concepts manual and administration guide about areas that are automatically managed?

If we define manually, and Automatic management is off then Shared pool, buffer cache, java pool and large pool remain fixed and if Auto management is on they can be changed as required by system, but what i read in the book that Stream_pool size has to be fixed manually otherwise Shared pool will be used by stream but from Oracle 10g release 2, Stream_pool_size parameter is also flexible, if it is set to 0.

It means that if Automatic memory management is on and stream_pool_size=0 at instance startup then Stream_pool_size will be managed by oracle like shared_pool_size

I just want to confirm above.
