FRM-40202:Field must be entered on two blocks with same table [message #477316]

I have two blocks, blockA and blockB, both from the same table which is tableX.

When I query from blockA and it has returned results, then I go to blockB and edit some data and save, there was no problem. But when I don't execute query from blockA or if the query returned zero results, then I go to blockB and edit some data then save, I got this error. THe cursor then go to blockA first item. So now I have to delete that empty row before saving.

Any suggestion?

Two blocks on the same table* Why? Why not <one block> : <one table>? You wouldn't have such errors there.

I need the first block to display the data corresponds to the tree node being selected. Then the second block when I need to display the data to be modified/assigned. The second block must display all records.

Are supposed to be able to modify data in block A?

I need to modify data in BlockB. The blockA is for display data associated with my tree heirarchy.

So why have you got required set on any items in blockA? Or insert_allowed or update_allowed?

Problem solved.. I copied the post trigger query ti BlockB and missed to change some item names.
