Hello, i try to learn how forms 6i and web application works.
At the moment i noticed a strange behaviour in a stupid form i made (1 button and 1 trigger, same program unit fired).
It seems that key-help trigger (by default is f1) fires when in client server, and not under application.
The result is that instead of a clean f1 stroke i have to make a button with question mark and click it.
Is it normal that a key-help trigger would not fire under web application?
If it is, how can i make it work?
i'm using Jinitiator 1.3.1.29 (not 1.3.1.30) but as soon as i understand how to do it i plan to use java-plug-in.
any help any time is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Are you sure F1 is help? I do not have 6i, but in 10g, HELP is Ctrl-H. If it is F1 in your case, are you sure the form has the focus, because F1 might be associated with whatever has focus at the time the form comes up.

Maybe F1 is mapped differently on the application server; chat with the person who maintains it and see whether he/she set the .RES file (FMRWEB.RES, possibly) and what is F1 mapped to.

Dear Littlefoot and joy_division.
I'm investigating about the mapping in the server but it will take me some time.
The fact is that key-help is working in client/server so i press f1 and the form does what i expect (so f1 is key-help).
It's when i run it in the so called application side (i don't know if it's the proper way to call it) with jinitiator+webutil and i press f1 nothing happens.
As soon as i get the answer i'll post it.
But what if it's not the server mapping?
Because i doubt somebody set a different key mapping on that.

If it is not mapping, then I wouldn't know what it might be.

Try Shift-Ctrl-F1

You say you doubt someone would change it. They probably didn't, but the default on a three tier system does not use F1, probably because it doesn't want to override the client's use of F1.
