I m trying to print to file option, but giving me the error
REP-1848 Failed while trying to begin printing.
Any solution.......
I am trying oracle 6i forms and reports on RHEL 3.0
please help immediately.

if your workstation is windows based then check to see if any printer is defined first, second check the size of the variables you have defined to hold printer name and port name. the should be at least 256 in size. make sure you have latest patch level for forms/reports, for the OS you are using. i.e 6i and windows xp should be at patch 13. you should also have latest version of d2kwutil and make sure (most probably ->) you have setup windows registery parameter for d2kwutil under oracle home.
D2KWUTIL60_PATH =
if all checks out, then you must have network issue

Thanks for Co- operation
I installed RHEL 3.0 on server
I installed wine (WIndows Emulator) on linux.
In .wine folder there is Drive_c which works as windows.
I installed windows D2k forma and reports run time.
It is working very good.
I can print notepad, openoffice document from wine emulator
But when i run my application and want to print my report, it opens in screen but at time of printing it gives error rep-1848.
So please Help me further what i have to do.I can not print from server it self.
