Dear,

Could anyone explain for me the relationship between START and COMPLETION dates in Discrete Jobs window, please?

When i tried to enter a completion date, the start date field become empty, and vise versa.

In other aspect, when i save my work the start and completion dates become similarly.

Note:-
I read Application help, but i couldn't understand the process and business behavior.

Regards,

Dear Asha,

In Discrete Job it is enough to give any one date either start or completion. Oracle Apps will calculate the other using the leadtime of the item.

You might not have given Lead Time for the item. Thats why both the dates were same.

Thanks & Regards

Dear Rajesh,

I want to thank you about your assistance, but when i determine lead time from Routing window for a specific item, after that from discrete jobs window; when i set the completion date only then save the start date became carry the same completion date.

From where can i notice the affective of lead time at WIP module.

Regards,

Hi Asha,

Lead time you have to give in Organisation Item window and not in Routing window.
